Huawei is stepping into OS world to power Internet of Things (IoT) devices with its very own upcoming OS called 'LiteOS'. Named LiteOS because it is apparently lightest software of its kind weighs 10kilo bytes only.

LiteOS can be used to power everything from wearable devices to connected cars, and will be open to all developers to create smart devices.

The company believes that there will be over 100 billion Internet-connected devices by 2025.

Its completely different strategy far from what many of Huawei's closest rivals have such as Xiaomi and Lenovo.

Despite the small size of LiteOS, Huawei claims to have - zero configuration, auto-discovery and auto-networking as major features.

Whether Huawei likes it or not, LiteOS will go head to head with Google's Android and Microsoft's Windows 10, which are being crammed into every possible smart device imaginable.

However, the company has already said it will not compete with other smartphone operating systems, but instead will focus on powering smart devices for consumers and businesses.

Airtel customers been mailed by CEO & MD, Gopal Vittal with subject title as "Clearing misconceptions around Airtel Zero". The largest telecom in India, starts the battle to ruin Net Neutrality across the country, claims that they were never against Net Neutrality. 

Vittal says, 

"There is no difference between this and toll free voice such as 1-800. (toll free call numbers starting from 1800). When a company selling an insurance product enrols into the toll free voice platform, customers who call the number are not charged but when they call a normal number they are charged. Calls are not blocked or given preferential treatment else our whole business would be jeopardized. Toll free voice helps the business owner engage with their customer. At the same time it provides the customer the benefit of reaching the business for free. Toll free voice is not a product or a tariff plan, it is merely a technology platform. We are simply taking the same concept of toll free voice to the world of data. As a result it is for the application developer and their customer to decide how data charges will be paid for. If the application developer is on the platform they pay for the data and their customer does not. If the developer is not on the platform the customer pays for data as they do now. Companies are free to choose whether they want to be on the platform or not. This does not change access to the content in any way whatsoever. Customers are free to choose which web site they want to visit, whether it is toll free or not. If they visit a toll free site they are not charged for data. If they visit any other site normal data charges apply."

They made up a well planned escape story to call Airtel Zero as an online toll free facility, but this story still did not answer, "Why Airtel Zero is giving preference to websites, developers, or any individuals to appear on their platform? ".

Net Neutrality simply says, "Every website on internet, Every content on internet should have equal importance and any content should open at exact same speed." If any telecom company really wants to support Net Neutrality or if they want to increase the reach of internet to every person in the country, they should make internet free from data charges or reduce the data rates to a minimal affordable tariff. 

Mail sent by Gopal Vittal to Airtel customers looks like this, 

Dear Customer Over the last few days you may have seen a lot of conversation on our toll free platform Airtel Zero. It has been painted as a move that violates net neutrality and we have been very concerned at the incorrect information that has been carried by some quarters in the media as well as in social media. I wanted to take this opportunity to clear the air and reiterate that we are completely committed to net neutrality. Let me clarify. Our vision is to have every Indian on the internet. There are millions of Indians who think that the internet is expensive and do not know what it can do for them. We believe that every Indian has the right to be on the internet. We know that if we allow them to experience the joys of the internet they will join the digital revolution. Airtel Zero is a technology platform that connects application providers to their customers for free. The platform allows any content or application provider to enroll on it so that their customers can visit these sites for free. Instead of charging customers we charge the providers who choose to get on to the platform. Our platform is open to all application developers, content providers and internet sites on an equal basis. The same rate card is offered to all these providers on a totally non discriminatory basis. There is no difference between this and toll free voice such as 1-800. There has been a deliberate effort by some quarters to confuse people that we will offer differential speeds or differential access for different sites. This is untrue. After all we earn revenues from data. If there are more customers who are on the Internet the better it is for our business. Our revenues are not dependent on which sites they visit because we charge on the basis of consumption of mega bytes not which site they visited. In sum our platform is a technology platform and is open to all application developers and their customers. Our platform only provides a choice of how the data that is consumed is paid for by any of the two - the application provider or their customer. Whether any application provider enrolls on the platform or not is entirely their choice. All we have is a technology. We do not have a product or tariff plan that we have launched. We simply have a platform. And every application developer and their customer is free to choose in an entirely neutral way what they want to do. In conclusion, we stand fully committed to net neutrality to ensure the goals of the Prime Minister`s vision of digital India are met.

Its been only few hours to the news that Flipkart denied to move with Airtel's flagship plan 'Airtel - ZERO', a trolling statement came out on the same day from Airtel.

Airtel utters that there are few misconceptions regarding their toll free data platform Airtel - zero, which is not tariff proposition but an open marketing platform.

Biggest telco in India, Airtel says,

"The statement made by Flipkart regarding their decision not to offer toll free data service to their customers is consistent with our stand that Airtel Zero is not a tariff proposition,"

Airtel also got smashes on its image in last few hours as a gift from social media. The game # Save the Internet started because of telco's and they are now declaring support to Net Neutrality. That means, the person who started the entire game of Net Neutrality suddenly opts out of the game.

Again its proved that a MASS can do anything! This is best example among us, we did fight because they wanted to change the way we want to use our internet. The same way, if we decide, if every Indian decides to stand with mass for our needs, we definitely can change the way we live.

The leading US smartphone manufacturer, Motorola, has launched the 4G variant of 2nd Generation of its flagship smartphone Moto E in India at Rs 7,999 ($128).

The new Moto E (2nd Gen) 4G variant runs on Android 5.0 Lollipop having 4.5-inch TFT LCD display with 960x540 pixels resolution.

The only change it seems to the 4G variant is Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 processor compared to Snapdragon 200 processor in 3G variant seen earlier.

Moto E 4G variant is little expensive comparing to other options and competitors available in the market, will be sold at starting price of Rs. 7,999 in India from Flipkart.

It has 1GB RAM, 8GB internal storage expandable up to 32GB via micro-SD card. The phone sports 5MP rear auto-focus camera and VGA front camera.
